General information
What is the Actions Ring feature in Logi Options+?
The Actions Ring offers an on-screen digital overlay with eight, always-present "bubbles," providing a customizable interface where each bubble can be set up to perform different actions.
What does “bubble” mean in Actions Ring?
A Bubble is a main functional (round) element where you can assign any action from Logi Options+. When you click on an highlighted bubble, you’re selecting the corresponding action.
Tailor your Actions Ring bubbles through the configuration screen. Options+ provides a set of system actions, and you can expand these by installing plugins from the Logi marketplace. For instance, to manage Spotify from the Actions Ring, simply install the Spotify plugin:
Actions Ring Folders
In addition to its primary eight bubbles, the Actions Ring provides nine supplementary sub-bubbles. These sub-bubbles can be grouped into user-defined "Folders," offering a way to categorize and manage a larger set of actions. See below, there is an AI Actions folder, and a Work Mode folder. These actions are customizable; you can change the name and icon:
To customize the Actions Ring, simply drag and drop actions from the picker on the right into the ring. Once an action is placed, you can configure its settings, including the name and icon:
To extend the functionality of your Actions Ring, you can install application-specific actions plugins from the Logi Marketplace.
For example, to use the Actions Ring with Zoom, install the Zoom plugin and then customize your Actions Ring Zoom profile. The same principle applies to all other application plugins:
Head to the marketplace to find the plugins:
You can then trigger the Actions Ring from your device by selecting the Actions Ring action from the actions picker on your device configuration page:
What is Logi Plugin Service and why does the Actions Ring need it?
This process is responsible for managing plugins, which allow you to control external applications and services using Logitech devices. As the Actions Ring allows you to install plugins, Logi Plugin Service is essential to ensuring this feature works as expected.
What does Adjustment bar mean in Actions Ring?
The Adjustment bar is a visual module that helps you adjust parameters of the actions. You can click (and hold) on any adjustment bubble, then drag your mouse to the right (or left) to reveal the adjustment bar.
How can I adjust a parameter using the Actions Ring feature?
To adjust a parameter using the Action Ring, follow these steps:
- Open the Actions Ring by pressing the trigger button.
- Once the Actions Ring is open, move your mouse cursor over a desired bubble (ex: Volume).
- From here, you can either use the THUMBWHEEL or the SCROLLWHEEL of the mouse, or the DIAL of the MX creative console to adjust the parameter of that bubble.
- Alternatively, you can CLICK AND DRAG on the desired action bubble and then move (drag) the mouse to the right. As you do this, you'll see an adjustment bar. By dragging the cursor to the right or left, you can change the parameter associated with the selected action.
Which actions can I assign to the Actions Ring in Logi Options+?
You have many options for customization:
System Actions
You can assign any system action which comes preinstalled to the Actions Ring. You’ll see these on the right side of the customization screen:
Plugin Actions
Plugin actions are available from the Logi Marketplace. To find them, press the marketplace icon on the top right:

Once installed, you’ll see the plugin within Options+ in the plugins area. Here you can select the plugin and see all available actions the plugin provides. This allows you to assign actions to the Actions Ring.
Smart Actions from Logi Options+
If you are a Smart Actions user, you can access your Smart Actions via the Logi Smart Actions Plugin. Simply install the Smart Actions plugin from the Logi Marketplace (steps above) and you’ll see all your saved Smart Actions become available in the customization screen:
What is the maximum number of actions in the Logi Options+ Actions Ring feature?
You can assign up to eight different actions to each bubble of the Action Ring.
You can use the folders feature to add an additional nine bubbles under an action:

How can I customize the Actions Ring?
Logi Options+ already provides a set of default actions for Photoshop in Actions Ring that we believe will be useful to our users. However, you have the flexibility to completely personalize the Actions Ring to better suit your needs.
The following example shows how you can customize the Actions Ring for Photoshop:
- Open Logi Options+.
- Choose the Actions Ring icon from the top menu.
- You will be directed to the Actions Ring Configuration Page.
- Click on the Layout menu (on the left) and then the CUSTOMIZE RING button.

How can I use different mappings of the bubbles in my Actions Ring when I move from App to App?
The Actions Ring is CONTEXTUAL — it identifies your active application. Upon opening, it automatically displays actions tailored to that specific app, provided you've created a profile for it.
When you install a plugin that is contextual, the plugin will also install a profile. You’ll see the different profiles listed on the top of the Actions Ring configuration screen:
When profiles are set up, whatever actions are assigned will change when you open that app. For example, if you are currently working in Photoshop and you open the Actions Ring, you will see the actions that you have assigned in the Photoshop profile.
Troubleshooting
Actions Ring icon does not show up / has disappeared from Logi Options+ Home screen
- To use the Actions Ring, you must have an MX device connected.
- Then ensure that your device (that you are using it to trigger Actions Ring) is turned on and visible within Logi Options+.
- As a last resort, you can go the SETTINGS (gear) icon on the Options+ home page, and then click RESTART LOGI PLUGIN SERVICE.
Actions Ring is not showing up when I trigger it
The Actions Ring requires Logi Plugin Service to run effectively. In most cases, Logi Plugin Service will kick off and you do not need to worry. In some cases, you’ll be asked to “Enable” Logi Plugin Service.
Once this is running, the Actions Ring and other devices which require this service will work as expected.
If you decide to toggle Logi Plugin Service off in the background within the settings page, this will affect the performance of Actions Ring and MX consoles. No plugins will work while this setting is off. Please ensure you toggle this setting ON if you would like to use the Actions Ring without issue.
