A full charge can take up to two hours. The charge case LED will stop flashing and display as a solid white LED when fully charged. If you have confirmed your Jaybird Vista 2 are fully charged, please try the following:
- After opening the charge case lid, wait for a couple of seconds before removing your earbuds from the case or putting them into pairing mode.
- If that does not help, visible or non-visible dirt or dust might cause your Jaybird Vista 2 earbuds to not charge, turn on, or the charge case LEDs not working as described.
To clean your Jaybird Vista 2 charge contacts, follow these steps:
- Check that the earbuds are being inserted correctly in the charge case — eargels should be installed correctly.
- The charging case lid should close properly.
- Check the correct charge cable is being used.
- Use the Jaybird Vista 2 charge cable. Alternatively, use a standard USB-C cable.
- Blow on the charge contact points in order to remove any loose debris on the earbuds and charge case.
- If the issue persists below are some options to clean the charge contact points on the earbuds and charge case using common household items.
Things to be careful of when cleaning:
- Only use small amounts of any cleaning liquid.
- Never expose earbuds or charge case to any fluid directly. Place the fluid on a cloth or swab and then clean.
- Make sure earbuds and charge case are completely dry before attempting to charge.
Cotton swab
- Use a warm, damp cotton swab (used for cleaning ears) to gently wipe the charge contact points on the earbud and charge case.
- If needed, add a small amount of dish soap, to cut through any wax or grease.
- Make sure earbuds and charge case are completely dry before attempting to charge.
Thin clean cloth (ex. glasses cleaning cloth)
- Lay a thin, soft, and clean cloth over the charge contact points and then use a paper clip (or similar) to push the cloth into the charge contact points on the earbuds and clean them. Make sure any cloth is clean of dust and dirt.
- Use a similar method for the charge contact points in the case.
Isopropyl alcohol
- Use an alcohol swab or apply a small amount of isopropyl alcohol to a cloth or cotton ball.
Gently wipe the charge contact points on the earbud and charge case.
Air duster - high pressure air in a can with a tube
- Apply a couple quick blasts of air to the charge contact points on the earbud and charge case. The air will get colder over time with a longer blast so a couple quick blasts are recommended.
- Hold the bud at least an inch away from the air source.
