[Feature request] Make MX Keys easy switch the mouse too
BeantwortetHi Logitech,
What I would very much like to see is that the easy switch keys on my Logitech MX keys keyboard also switch my mouse to the computer I select.
Currently those keys switch the keyboard to a different computer but leave the mouse as is. So now I need to pick up the mouse (MX Master 2S) and use the small button at the bottom to change between computers.
When would you ever want to leave the mouse as is and switch keyboard only? Never right? Please make those 3 keys switch the mouse too!
I can't install the flow software on my locked work laptop so that isn't a solution for me.
Would be a great upgrade for me!

I will suggest to create support tickets, this way maybe the issue reach product managers and they at least create a public communication about their approach to fix this issue.
Right now we don't know if they are working silently on it, they plan to work on it or they have no intention to do something about it.

@Jose M Herrero I created a new post with the same original text... hope it gets some attention :)

As someone said, this thread is marked as "answered" so chances are nobody from Logitech is even looking at this anymore
So, nothing gets a company's attention more than a Tweet.
If you have a Twitter account, I would suggest posting a Tweet to @logitech with this link ( https://support.logi.com/hc/en-gb/community/posts/360050755634--Feature-request-Make-MX-Keys-easy-switch-the-mouse-too ) once a week asking when they are going to address until they resolve.
Also mention @brackendarrell in the Tweet who is the Logitech CEO to get some more attention.
There are 200+ people on this thread so 100+ tweets a week on this will soon annoy him!

Don't forget to highlight that this product is a fail on their part.

+1, literally madness.
Not compatible with Linux at all as flow software is not compatible and flow is required to be able to "easy" switch. It's a shame, I would have gone back by now to purchase the ergo set too.
Features required:
The MX keys device switch effects the MX Master.
Mappable button on the mouse to switch devices. (saves turning MX Master over to switch).

I also suggest that we like/retweet each other's tweets. -
If we want this fixed make a youtube video highlighting the flaw in this products design and post it here. Then we can upvote it.
There are many influencer videos out there and not one highlights this basic design issue. Also comment on those particular videos so people don't fall into the same trap.

Just bought the MX keys and MX Master 3, really disappointed this isn't a feature! I did so much research on how it worked, but not on this feature because it seemed painfully obvious that this would work this way??!! I can not believe this doesn't work. Also for some reason my Master 3 only pairs my unifier with port 3, while the keys is paired with port 2 for the same system... It makes NO SENSE!!!
So disappointed, this should be the first feature, come on... -
The following link proves software can change what channel/device the keyboard or mouse is on.
https://github.com/Logitech/logi_craft_sdk/issues/28
So it's not a driver issue, just an issue of Logitech introducing this feature.
On another thread a Logitech rep said their was an issue with Bluetooth compatibility so they can't implement without a hardware change.
Fine by me Logitech, I'll buy additional unify receivers over Bluetooth anyway. -

And I'd like to stress out that this is not a "special feature" request : this is what Logitech advertise its product to do, and this is the most basic behavior any customer would expect, even without the false advertising !!!
When you use Flow, you can switch both the mouse and the keyboard from one computer to another, and the "Easy Switch" device LEDs change according to the device you are on. So a simple software change can do that, there is no hardware issue whatsoever !

Very surprised to discover this isn't part of the core functionality having just purchased both MX keys and MX Master 3. Seems an obvious feature to implement - https://twitter.com/LondonBryan/status/1382745964394516482

Well, I think they are too big to care about little guys like us. Really heartbreaking, I've been using Logi products for a really long time.
