This feature is very much needed. Especially since a lot of people are working from home. Switching between home and work device is common practice.

    Hello Marcel,
This is really a great suggestion and we will pass this along to our Engineering team. However, we cannot make any promise at this moment as we do not comment on our future updates. Please refer the below link for more information and also keep checking our Logitech website for more update:

Since logi options+ is under development and in beta now, it will help adding this very requested feature.

    Hi,

That whould be great if this was possible, I'm even surprised from Logitech it's not present by default !

Would be great if by pressing the MX Key button we can switch the MX Master3 at the same time AND even run a script (for example to switch the monitor input).

With Flow we can "Link Keyboard" and trigger Flow by the display edge or CTRL+display edge so Logitech engineers could be able to ad this features to the MX Key I think...

    Thanks

    Hey there !

This feature is kind of expected when you purchase the MX keyboard AND mouse.

So... eagerly waiting for the update !

    Thanks

What a bummer! Most people buy this for an easy switch between office laptop (connected on vpn) and personal laptop but having to reach under the mouse to switch channels is a great inconvenience. Also why would anyone want to switch just the keyboard and not the mouse. I am returning both my MX keys and masters 3 if logitech cant promise to introduce this in the near future.

All here has the same idea or interpretation. Alas, it seems like their sales team beat their development team. Hopefully they can pull it off.

I started this topic, great to see so many people agree with my idea.

Overthinking this last evening and what would make it even better is if the buttons could not only switch mouse and keyboard, but if they also could send a HDMI switch commando to the monitor(s) switching their input automatically too! I tried this with a small script and it's only one line of code to switch a HDMI input so should also be really easy to add!

Whilst working on the request, why not add this too?

@Wabs, would you share your script for switching HDMI inputs?

Not home right now, I'll try and remember and post when I'm back in a couple of days.

    /edit:
Just Googled is and I think I used this article: https://johnstonsoftwaresolutions.com/2019/02/09/tip-switch-monitor-inputs-with-command-line/
So that's a small tool, not only a script. Sry

    Hello Logitech team,

We need this feature ,but I don't know what to hope for ..  I see that some engineers say it's possible, others say it's not possible.

I drew a "solution" , but can you please ask the engineers team if this is possible?

I don't know how this is woudn't be possible. Flow is sending commands to the mouse when switching computers.

I think Flow actually works by emulating keyboard & mouse inputs from Computer A via LAN to Computer B.
Doing this over mixed connections, via VPN etc would undoubtedly introduce lag, rendering it unusable. This is why you can only use Flow over LAN.

Look back through the comments and you’ll find it’s mostly possible. I have a nice script mapped to my MX3 mouse thumb button that switches between my work and desktop machines, (mouse, keyboard and monitor) even when connected to works VPN.
Obviously it’d be better if Logitech supported it officially but I think we’re beyond the “is it possible stage”.

I don't understand why people are down voting comments here.

Anyway, I'll try your script Ryan. Thanks for the tip.

RoboAddy it's not an emulation. When you switch computers you can see the LED indicator switching between devices.

I bought both devices MX Keys and MX Master 3 because of this "easy switch". Is frustating know that this not work properlly. I use both to do my work and my 3 laptops are in different networks since they are using VPN. Logitech, you need to be clear when you talk about switch both devices ONLY if they are on the same network.

Must needed feature. Why can't logitech just use the mx keys button to switch between the devices. Why do they make us do an extra step of pressing the button in mouse too? Especially on their "Productivity Suite of products"

Hi @logitch can we get an update about this feature request? In the media 'good' news comes out about your new bolt technology. Which seems to be the solution for our problem... what about existing products?

Bought the MX Keys and MX Master 3 because I assumed that I can switch both mouse and keyboard with the three keys...
Flow isn't much reliable and doesn't work over VPN as a lot of people mentioned already.

I'm considering returning it, for that price tag it is unacceptable. Please make this feature happen.

Flow is not an option for many folks, like me, on locked-down corporate computers where we can't install software.

I bet there are hundreds of developers & engineers on this thread who'd agree that for a technology firm like Logitech this shouldn't be "not easy to implement" - if the MX keys is capable of sending a signal to the Unified receiver to switch channels, then how hard can it be to replicate that for any other connected devices using the same receiver???

If it's really not easy to do in hardware, then publish your APIs publicly - I'm certain the development community can build something to do this in a matter of hours.

Also - all the marketing all makes it seem that the input 1/2/3 buttons on the MX Keys would also switch the mouse - to the point that many on this thread are calling it misleading - so add the feature, or clean up the marketing.

Finally - if the input switch button wasn't on the bottom of the MX Master Mouse, then I'm sure you'd have a lot fewer complaints - alternatively if we could program the side buttons to switch inputs, or have the input switcher on the top of the mouse (like the Marathon 720) it'd make a big difference!

PLEASE think about this for MX Master 4 !!!

Yep, I am hear for the same thing... Bought me and my wife this keyboard mouse setup so we could switch between our work and personal machines. I had hoped the keyboard could switch the mouse too.

Nearly every day I wake up to a new comment...often several. It's a good way to start my day to realize how ridiculous Logitech is...it's a daily reminder of the failing. I wonder if everyone else on here gets these emails?

Oh I'm sure every participant in this thread is getting the emails.
It's fun to see all the different perspectives on the matter.

I've developed a muscle memory to pick up my mouse and switch channels with my thumb in one smooth movement, but it's still less convenient than it being tied to the keys on the MX Keys.
