I'd send both back while you still can.

Very shortly, someone from Logitech will say thanks for your comment, it's been passed to the concerned team, but what you're asking for is very difficult and they can't guarantee it will ever happen.

It's a TESmart, he can switch monitors, keyboard, mouse and 3 usb ports with a simple keyboard shortcut or the remote control.

It suit even better my need:

I'm remote working and switch a lots of time between computers. For some client I need to use their dedicated laptop. I only have one PC on windows, the others are on Linux, so no Option but I was thinking it was done at a lower level (firmware, usb key...). I was having an HDMI switch and I though I would be able to switch both mouse and keyboard together with a single touch on the MX Keys.

To be honest, I was in search for ergonomic, this would have allowed me to switch easily with 2 moves, 1 on the HDMI switch, 1 on the MX Keys. I found myself needing 3 buttons, one being under the mouse, which was kind of defeating the ergo as well as being annoying when you do that very often all day long.

Since I replaced the HDMI Switch and the logitech stack with the KVM, It´s totally generic and I can switch quickly with a single shortcut from any keyboard on any OS, no software to install, no network dependency, nothing. And bonus, now it's ergonomic !

    Hi LOGITECH,

As "the feedback has already been passed along to the team" since a very very long time, what is the answer of the team ?

We want you to prove us you are able to do this "hard thing".

If you're only able to do easy things so don't sell it at this price.

    Thanks.

For my work i use 3 computers that are on different isolated networks. And i switch from one computer to another at least 100 times a day.

At home i have made a setup with a KVM and a programmable keyboard, so i can switch keyborad and mouse  from one computer to another by pressing a single key. This has a cost : 150€ for the keyboard, 100€ for the KVM and lots of advanced keys button are lost (horizontal ruler, multimedia keys...)

At works, i have MX keys and mouse. this is like hell on earth keyboard and mouse are never on the same computer, I type passwords in the chat box (on lot of systems, you have no return on screen when you type a key). I hae always looking for my mouse pointer... I finally have found a temporary solution : i have 3 mices, which still leads to mistakes.

Be sure that if you release this feature i will immediatly buy 2 sets of keyboard/mouse. And i will promote this device in my company (we are 300 000+ worldwide, many of us have multiple isolated computers).

And if a competitor release this feature before you, i will immediatly switch to this competitor.

Agreed - this feature really is needed.

Great idea! Same problem here. I thought this would be standard - but i can`t find anything in the Logitech software to set this up.

This would even more useful than Flow.

Come on Logitech, stop being jerks about it and give us a solution...

It's 2022, are we still dealing with kvm switches? I was thinking of buying it just for this feature. But I gave up on purchasing because the one-button keyboard and mouse did not change at the same time. Logitech is so focused on gamers that it forgets business people like us. Time is money

Strongly Agree. Similarly I posted here to suggest that when mouse is moved to a particular computer in the Flow Mode, the keyboard should also be switched to that computer.

Yes please -- I bought the master 3 and I will buy the mx keys too if you can make this happen. Would make switching between computers so much easier.

I just bought mx keys and master 3 mouse. Could not believe this was not possible. The use case is so obvious and the marketing makes it appear it is possible!

Would be nice to use keyboard to switch both keyboard and mouse.  Seems possible in linux with Solaar - really wish it worked in Windows too

I'm on owner of MX Keys for Mac and a Triathlon M720.  Since Flow is unreliable, only switching between computers 25% of the time, I want to add my voice to the lis of people requesting this feature.

Agree with this.  I bought the MX Keys and MX Vertical Mouse, expecting the switch button to switch both, but no, it doesn't.  I have to switch keyboard with the special button, and then turn mouse upside down and press the "switch" button there also.  Yes, a first world problem but even if I could assign one of the mouse keys to act as "easy-switch" would mean I can do it single-handed instead of current solution.

As others have pointed out, Flow can't be used for computers on different networks, nor installed on many company supplied laptops.

Ideally, just having the option of switching both devices with the dedicated keyboard button would make life easier.

Think about it, by providing this would make 200+ people instantly happy and release all sorts of positive karma into the world :)

Additionally, it will provide the real functionality that your marketing around these products is already promoting.

Well, I think they are too big to care about little guys like us. Really heartbreaking, I've been using Logi products for a really long time.

The other day I was just about to buy a Logitech webcam when it came to my mind how desperate we are requesting this feature and  how indifferent Logitech is about it, finally I bougth an other brand. I lost the count of how many times every day I have to turn my mouse to push that small button, the MX keys and MX Master is probably the best combo but next time I will investigate if other brand is offering this feature that Logitech is missing.

Please add this feature even if it requires flow and please support Linux with flow

Flow might be an option if options was available for Linux and PS5.

Also someone has already done the hard part and designed the fix, it just needs to be implemented.

MarcelloCuoghi2568 there are also people like me (and others in this thread) who can't use Flow because their work and home PCs are on 2 different networks (Work PC is connected via VPN or LTE), not just a limitation of Linux/Android necessarily.
Flow requires both devices to be connected to the same LAN so adding Flow support to Linux/Android is still not a complete solution.

Unfortunately you are a little inaccurate about your assumption of requiring a "hardware fix" to allow the keyboard easy switch "keys" to also change the mouse. The Logitech flow software can already switch the mouse and keyboard between devices via software, it's not your mouse that defect's when it gets to the edge of the screen and knows which channel/computer/device to switch to. The software detects this and changes both devices. This is clear evidence of being correctable via a software or driver fix.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with Logitech this could be much more difficult to implement via Bluetooth, but via the unifying receivers it's possible. Preferably outside of Logitech Flow software as that in itself is impractical for so many reasons.

To simplify our request, we would like the hardware drivers to be tweaked to allow an option for moving all Logitech devices on that unifying receiver to the selected channel/computer/device.
Either separate/new drivers or an option within the drivers would be the best solution to solve most of your customers issues.

It seems that they could already implement this with flow, they just need to remove the requirement of making sure that the second device is reachable, this way we might loose copy/paste functionality but is not something I care for. The Logi Options application is already aware of the multiple devices paired to the keyboard and mouse should also be able to know that.

So as long as you hit the corner of the screen it should be able to move keyboard and mouse regardless. If second device is not only and you are not able to switch back to primary due to flow not working you could always use the device key at that point.
