In order for G HUB to save user settings, certain files must have write permission. If these files don’t have the correct permission, the configured settings in a session will be lost when the computer enters sleep mode or reboots.
To avoid this from happening, please make sure the following files have the correct permissions:
On Windows:
- Navigate to the folder C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\LGHUB.
- Right-click on settings.json and click on Properties.
- Make sure the Read-only attribute is unchecked and click OK.
- Repeat steps 2-3 for the file settings.backup.
On macOS:
- Click on the Finder icon.
- Click on Go from the menu bar and then select Go to Folder.
- Type in ~/Library/Application Support/lghub and click Go.
- Right-click on settings.json and then click on Get Info. If you don’t have a mouse, you can hold down the Control key while clicking.
- Go to the Sharing & Permissions section and make sure Privilege is set to Read & Write.
- Repeat steps 4-5 for the file settings.backup.
