When you try to install G HUB, you see the error "Unable to load basic components of the installer":
You can resolve the problem by reinstalling the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package. You should then be able to install G HUB.
- Delete the installation package. If you have a previous installation of G HUB, you’ll also need to uninstall that.
Confirm that C:\Program Files\LGHUB is completely removed. - Go to Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable latest supported downloads.
- Download the latest version of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
- Open the downloaded file and install it. If you’re prompted to restart after the installation is complete, do so.
- Open the file again and click Repair. Restart, if you're prompted to.
- Re-download the G HUB driver installation package and install G HUB.
