The firmware update, initiated through Logi Options+, may take up to six minutes. During this time, the device will blink red and green and will be temporarily unavailable for use.

The update may not progress if the device was disconnected, the receiver was removed, or Logi Options+ was closed during the update. The Update Status in Logi Options+ will appear to be frozen and the device will blink red and green, indicating the firmware update has failed.

Use the instructions below to get the mouse or keyboard working again. Before you start, please make sure that your Logi Options+ software is up to date. 

1. If your mouse or keyboard is connected to a Logi Bolt/Unifying receiver, follow these steps. Otherwise, skip to Step 3.

• • Open Logi Options+ to see if you’re prompted to restart your device update.
  • If your device is not showing up in Logi Options+ then:
    • Make sure to use the Logi Bolt/Unifying receiver that originally came with your keyboard/mouse.
    • If your keyboard/mouse uses batteries, please take the batteries out and put them back in or try replacing them.
    • If your keyboard/mouse has a rechargeable battery, turn off and then on your device.
    • Unplug the Logi Bolt/Unifying receiver and reinsert it into the USB port.
    • Check in Logi Options+ to see if your device is now showing up and you’re able to restart the device update, if not please contact our Logi Support Team who will be able to assist you with additional recovery steps.

2. If your mouse or keyboard is not connected to a Logi Bolt/Unifying receiver, it should be connected using Bluetooth. First, let's confirm if your computer can still "see" your device.
   • On Windows:
     1. Open Settings.
     2. Go to Bluetooth & devices.
     3. Check if your Logitech device is listed.
   • On MacOS:
     1. Open System Settings (or System Preferences in older macOS versions).
     2. Click on Bluetooth.
     3. See if your Logitech device is in the list.
   • If your device is listed (either via receiver or Bluetooth): Proceed to the next steps.
   • If your device is NOT listed (neither via receiver nor Bluetooth): This indicates a connection issue. Try the troubleshooting steps outlined in the receiver/Bluetooth sections above. If it still doesn't appear, you may need further assistance. Please contact Logitech customer support.

3. Restart the Logitech Options+ agent

Sometimes, simply restarting the software agent can resolve communication issues.

• • Windows:
    1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
    2. Go to the Processes or Details tab.
    3. Look for any processes related to Logitech Options+ or Logi Options+.
    4. Select each one and click End task.
    5. Restart Logitech Options+.
  • MacOS:
    1. Open Activity Monitor (Applications > Utilities).
    2. Look for any processes related to Logitech Options+ or Logi Options+.
    3. Select each one and click on the X (Quit Process).
    4. Choose Force Quit if necessary.
    5. Restart Logitech Options+.

4. Attempt recovery in Logi Options+
   1. Launch Logi Options+.
   2. If your device is now detected, you should see a prompt or button to Retry or Recover the firmware update.
   3. Click Retry or Recover and then follow the on-screen instructions.
   4. Important: Do not interrupt the update process.

If problems persist

If you've followed these steps and your device is still blinking red and green, or not detected in Logitech Options+, or your operating system's Bluetooth settings, please contact Logitech customer support team for further assistance. They will be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or determine if your device requires a repair or replacement.
