Select your operating system:

• Windows XP
• Windows Vista/Windows 7

Windows XP:

1. Click Start > Run.

2. Type msconfig and press Enter:

   

3. The System Configuration Utility will appear.

4. Click on the Startup tab and look for ‘Logitech Webcam Software’:

   NOTE: Logitech Webcam Software is listed as ‘LWS’

   

5. Remove the checkmark beside the ‘Logitech Webcam Software’ entry by clicking in the checkbox beside the entry:

   

6. Click Apply then click OK.

7. Click Restart on the System Configuration screen:

   

8. After your computer restarts, you will see the System Configuration Utility window as shown below:

   

9. Check the checkbox beside the ‘Don’t show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts’ message:

   

10. Click OK.

Windows Vista:

1. Click Start.

2. Type msconfig and press Enter:

   

3. Click the Startup tab.

4. Uncheck the box next to LogitechQuickCamRibbon as shown below:

   

5. Click Apply, then click OK.

6. Click Restart on the System Configuration screen:

   

7. After your computer restarts, you will see the System Configuration window as shown below:

   

   NOTE: This is an XP image, but Vista differs only in its appearance.

8. Check the checkbox beside the ‘Don’t show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts’ message:

9. Click OK.
