Plugging in or unplugging a headset from a G510 while in a game or other media application might make the keyboard unresponsive for a few seconds while it restarts. Also, some games or media playback applications may not be able to adjust the sound output after the keyboard restarts.
If you plug in or unplug your headset in the middle of a game or media application and get no audio, close and re-launch the application. If you still don't get audio, and you're using a headset plugged into your keyboard's audio ports, see answer 360023247974 to set up the G510 as the default audio device.
