The following requirements are important to follow especially when running lengths of cable that approach the 50-foot limit.

Cable specification:

• CAT 6 AWG 23 SFTP
• No longer than 50 feet (15 meters) in length, preferably with no wall plates/jacks
• If wall plates and jacks must be used they need to be fully shielded and be capable of supporting PoE rated to 96W or higher

Please keep in mind that every connection point/jack adds additional resistance, which changes the characteristics of the signal. So jacks should be kept to a minimum.
