  1. Make sure you’ve downloaded the software, if not refer to the next point.
  2. The M380 does not have a built-in microphone. You will need a computer with an integrated microphone or an external microphone to use the voice function.
  3. Make sure you’re dictating using the correct microphone. The software uses your system default microphone. The default microphone is listed in the Baidu Speech Input Software setting, as shown:

  4. If you are still unable to use the dictation function, try the following depending on your operating system:
    • In Windows, allow desktop apps to access your microphone:
      Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone. Turn on Allow desktop apps to access your microphone.
    • On your Mac, you’ll need to authorize the following permissions:
