The USB-C port on the Rugged Combo 4c keyboard is designed specifically for pass-through charging.
- The Benefit: By plugging your charger into the keyboard, you keep your iPad powered while leaving the iPad’s native USB-C port open for other accessories (such as wired headsets, microphones, or external drives).
- Data Note: The keyboard port is for power only. Peripherals that require data transfer (hard drives, USB hubs, and so on) must be plugged directly into the iPad.
