@JeffreyDang4802 & @Julian Wächtler, for E1400 error, please try the suggestion provided in this post https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/1500000658341/comments/1500001053462

    Julian,

For Dyson Pure Coole Me, I'd recommend you learn the commands using the original remote. Refer to this support article https://support.myharmony.com/en-us/teach-harmony-a-missing-command for more information. Sometimes, it will take three attempts to capture a command.

Why not just replace the hub? You can get a used one on eBay for under $50.

PKHarmony Can you ask whoever is in charge to open source the code and let the community resolve this issue?  It looks like the line has been discontinued and there isn't bandwidth to do QA testing or development fixes.  Downgrading a core package is not a proper fix and this issue doesn't seem to be a concern for Logitech.

swechsler You're recommending I invest more into a discontinued product that was crippled due a sloppy software/firmware update?

It wasn't clear from your post that the problem was a firmware issue. You also didn't mention what product it was. I made the (possibly incorrect) assumption that you owned an Ultimate or Elite system. FWIW I own both of those and haven't experienced the issue you mentioned.

@JeffreyDang4802, this is our top priority and the fix will be released soon. As I mentioned earlier, downgrading is a temporary workaround and not a fix.

Just stuck at Initializing Hub after logging in. Tried on three different devices and got three different errors.

    - Pixel 3: stuck at "Initializing Hub" after logging in

    - Pixel Slate: Error E1400

    - Old Nexus 7 tablet (no webview): got pretty far but after choosing "add as a new remote", it's stuck at "Initializing Hub" again...

PKHarmony Did you guys remove MyHarmony app for Windows from your website? I can't find it anywhere, what's going on?

Mike C I am able to download it from Harmony Software (myharmony.com)

    Direct link -> https://app.myharmony.com/prod/win/1.0/MyHarmony-App.msi

I was worried when I saw your message, as I really like Harmony product line and would want it to live as long as it can.

I've been using the Harmony Companion with an Apple TV 4k for a while and it's been working great. Yesterday, I added AirPods Pro to the Apple TV. I quickly discovered there was no way to control the AirPods volume on the Apple TV from the Harmony. Off to Google where I found that controlling the AirPods volume meant I had to connect the Apple TV to the Harmony via Bluetooth, not WiFi. But not just any Bluetooth, an Apple TV Test Device in the Harmony database. Good luck figuring any of this out via Apple or Logitech support. All hail Google.

But it's not quite that simple because it never is. The family watches Apple TV with the room speaker system and I use the AirPods to watch without disturbing them. So we need to support two ways of volume control. Sure, I could set up two Activities, one for them and one for me, but that's inefficient and would mean I'd have four Activities with only three Activity buttons. The family cannot manage short/long press... they will mess it up every time. I have this set up, with this remote, so they can't mess things up or access Device mode from the handset.

So I set up an Activity with the Bluetooth connection to the Apple TV and left their volume control of the room speakers on the normal Vol/Mute buttons then put my AirPods volume control on the unused Channel Up/Down buttons. I can also now access the Apple TV Control Center with a long press of Exit, which I mapped to Home. Works perfectly. Good luck with this on any other remote.

Now, I have in the back of my mind, what am I going to do when Logitech finally pulls the plug? It may be some years from now or some months but it will happen. So currently, I'm ready to grudgingly get get a URC remote but maybe... hopefully... a better solution will be around at that time. One that doesn't require jumping through hoops to get the programming software. 'Nuff said.

Speaking of professional installers, some on this thread have pointed out how useful Harmony has been to them in their business and how this move to discontinue the hardware makes them question future support of other Logitech solutions they use or sell. I'm thinking about the Video Conferencing solutions market that everyone wants a piece of right now. Seeing this move with Harmony, how comfortable would a pro installer be that the same might not happen with a key Video Conferencing product that they grow to depend on? Not very.

It boggles the mind to think that Logitech got to the point with Harmony revenue that they would make this move. It's obviously not a bad product. Poor leadership? Lack of vision? Too many SKUs? Poor user experience with fragmented software between platforms? Problems with the sales channel? Probably some combination. I'm not typing this in a vacuum. I've been doing Pro AV product development for over 20 years and been in the AV biz over 35 years. I have international award winning products under my belt. If you're a musician or involved with audio recording at any level, you've used my products.

I truly wish this decision would be reversed. If not, find another company to take it over. Solving all these issues to make Harmony what it could be from a UX and a revenue point of view would not be trivial but it's far from impossible.

PKHarmony, uninstalling the WebView updates helped only after I reset the Harmony completely.

moving ALL items to other brand names. sick of lack of connectivity and support. Logitech is GONE from this house! ABSOLUTELY USELESS! couldn't even update remotes as app wouldn't connect to servers. seriously, if you guys can't get your shit together, just close shop and go the fuck home. i am currently logged in under another user account as i REFUSE to have a logitech account though you have my email in a ticket now. as a PRO integrator for systems, in my books you guys are done and word spreads in our community. if you discount your clients, it is your own death knell.

The recent (June 21, 2021) Android app update fixed the issue for me (Pixel 3). I had to reset the hub and start over, took a few tries, but it actually worked. Got it linked to Google assistance as well. Thanks.

Have you considered open sourcing the product? Hardware, Firmware and Software?

    Hi Michael Brownjohn,

I'm glad to let you that we have added the model in our database. But the correct model number is QA75QN85A. Can you add the device in the following format in your Harmony account and check if that helps.

    Manufacturer: Samsung
    Model: QA75QN85A

    Thanks,
    LK

Open source the software.  You will shut down the servers eventually.  I remember the fiasco when the previous gen harmony servers were down and we couldn't program our old school remotes for weeks.

Make the software run offline, so we don't have to rely on you randomly deciding to support the hardware for some arbitrary time.

I'm glad that they're working on a hub-based remote. However, Sofabaton seems to be a VERY small company, and I'm not too confident about their servers sticking around long-term.

I agree - I worry about that too. No really great options so I'll hang with my Harmony as long as I can and hope something good comes out. I'm looking at Sofabaton and a couple others as fallback solutions if things really go south.

this kickstarter seems to be an interesting alternative to Harmony... mine is still working so I'll not fund it, but keep an eye on it...

yep.  that's the same as what we were discussing in the posts above.  It's good to see that someone is re-entering the market, but I wouldn't put much faith in them until they've had a chance to prove that they have a real product....ad a long term business case.

I hope Logitech takes note of Sofabaton and how much funding it's getting from Kickstarter. I hate to see them discontinue but happy to see another company is going to fill in the gap.

I have loved my Harmony Elite. My AV system and my gaming systems are in a closet so that I have a very neat and roomy living area.

This is really sad news but looking forward, has anyone tried Caavo as a replacement?

The Volume buttons just recently gave out on my Harmony Companion and I've dipped into one of the two spares I bought on eBay right when this news broke.

Looking forward to the new Sofabaton.

I will say again, anyone looking at Logitech for a Pro AV solution should consider what's happening with Harmony.

There's a decent chance the buttons just need to be cleaned. Search for YouTube videos on clean remote control buttons

    swechsler,

Yes, very likely and I may go down that road since I have the spares. I have many years in electronics and it can't be hard.

    Thanks

    Disappointed... very... much... :(

Harmony is just superb over any other remote that is right now on market. Simply there is no replacement.

Coming from corporate world, I get it that there was some profitability behind of all of this.

But having an amazing product, having no competition and having huge base of customers, I just don't see how is not profitable to just continue to produce hardware... Even if you invest 0$, you already have stable, sturdy and amazing product that so many people will still like to buy...

Especially if you say you are planning to support software for a while. I mean I get it, obviously you won't give official statement that you don't care about it any more before all stocks are sold out, but as already 6 months there is no app update, it's kind of obvious now that all Harmony support is just dead end.

Very disappointing and sad... Especially after giving +300$ last year for new Elite line.

I know that future slowly introduce new technologies and that sometime in the future need for remotes will be non existent, but on other hand people don't  like to change habits and don't like to change routines, so I really don't see how this moment was best to cut this line completely.

So now I need to spend 300$ more to find one more Elite, just to have it as a spare... because I'm to hooked to say bye to this amazing thing.

Thank you very much Logitech... For sure I'm not buying anymore yours stuff...   :(

I must confess as a long time user of Logitech products, won't buy any more products of this brand. Bought several Mx Master mouses (very expensive by the way) they look great and work great until they brake (i have two now with broken scroll wheels). Bought recently a Logitech circle view doorbell, and is not reliable since is very buggy.

The only product I think where Logitech really shines and is above of all the competitors (none to be honest) they decide to drop development and possible support.

    Bye Bye Logitech
