*LOGITECH HELP US!* Lollipop Update to Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 - No more Logitech BT Folio Keyboard!
AnsweredAs of 7/7/2015, Samsung has begun rolling out USA updates to its Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablets. With the previous Kit Kat / Samsung enhanced Android system, the Logitech Folio blue tooth keyboard worked wonderfully. BUT....
Numoerous complaints are showing up around the web about what happened to our Logitech Keyboards after the update. I was forewarned, and could have skipped the update. But in the interests of science (heh) I went ahead.
All the reports are true.
Specifically, Lollipop (5.02 version) on the Note Pro *does* initially recognize the Logitech BT keyboard. And (stranger yet) when it asks for the key, and I typed that key in *from the Logitech keyboard* it accepted it and successfully "paired" with the keyboard.
But from then on, no more joy. The keyboard acts connected, in that one no longer sees the Samsung "pop up" virtual keyboard on screen. But when one types on the Logitech, there's nothing.
I went as far as to tweak various settings within the blue tooth and keyboard categories; nothing worked. I also installed a few different blue tooth "helper apps" -- no joy there either.
Logitech, HELP! I want to run the new Lollipop and have my cake -- er, blue tooth keyboard -- too!
UPDATE: I also have tried -- at Samsung's help desk's direction -- a factory reset of my tablet. That did *NOT* work. The issue remains unchanged.

Same problem. Already been to Samsung. They don't seem to know much about it and basically can't help because the keyboard is third party. I made the case that the Logitech keyboard case has helped make the Note Pro attractive even after the release of the Surface Pro, but their agent ended the chat session because I took too long typing without my Logitech keyboard. -
I'm having a problem with my Logitech Pro 12.2 Bluetooth keyboard, it no longer works with my Samsung Note Pro 12.2 after the lollipop update on 7/7/2015. My tab shows that it'a paired but I can't input any information. I called Samsung Care on 7/8/2015 the best they could do a factory reset that didn't help. They want me to ship my device to them and allow 10 to 14 days to find the problem and I am not good with that, somebody, anybody help... -
I just downloaded & installed Lollipop 5.0.2 on my Samsung Note Pro 12.2 , 64GB 2 days ago and I also noticed that my Pro Keyboard and my Ultathin Touch Mouse no longer work!! I completely removed both devices and reinstalled them.... the tablet recognized both devices and paired with them but thats it, neither one is working! Hopefully Logitech and the folks at Android can quickly get an update out out! I've owned so many Logitech Device over the last 20 + years for PC and now for Android and this is the very 1st time I've ever had any problems. -
Same exact problem. I made a case with logitech so hopefully they will help. This is honestly so frustrating though, it's not like it's some cheap $20 case and I also need it for school coming up this fall and I'm not even going to attempt to try and type notes on this stupid onscreen "keyboard" -
Hi, I have the same issue, and did read all your tests, and came for me, to test it with my galaxy S5, (already with lollipop since few months) I paired and it was working, I think it has more to do with the lollipop update in galaxy notepro 12.2. If someone has similar could try and post the results? -
Just an FYI. It ISN'T JUST Logitech keyboards. It is also MICROSOFT branded keyboards. it seems the ONLY KEYBOARD that will work on the Galaxy 12.2 is a SAMSUNG... Mine Logitech PRO is ALSO BROKEN! Getting the 'dodge and shuffle' from SAMSUNG, saying that the keyboard is 3rd party so it isn't a warranty fix. This is RIDICULOUS!!! -
I would type a long message here but I don't have a working keyboard. I bought my galaxy tab S5 and logitech keyboard so I could work on the go. It is commercial blackmail that the android update appe Shonkin wrote: \r\nAs of 7/7/2015, Samsung has begun rolling out USA updates to its Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablets. The keboards work fine on other android 5.0.x devices so the issue does not seem to be android or logitech - its probably a samsung thing as its only TouchWiz android 5.0.x that has the issue. The fact that a number of other devices (microsoft keyboards and various mice) have the same issue again supports this. The reason for talking to logitech is that samsung are saying that it is a 3rd party accessory problem (which technicaly it is, the samsung keyboards/mice all work perfectly) so the only way forward is to get a support ticket from Logitech and hope that Logetichs support agrement with samsung will allow logetich to get samsung to look at the issue. Anyone reading this who has this problem, do NOT just post in this forum (as it is easy to ignore) instead open a Logitech support ticket on this issue. Hopefuly this will make Logetich realise this is a problem and they can then push samsung. -
I am experiencing the same problem as all of you so I got in touch with Logitech Canada. The Customer Service employee was courteous and did his best to be helpful but had no solution to propose. In the meantime, I developed a "plan B". I am now using a Micro USB 3.0 OTG On-the-Go Host adapter that I had bought for a few dollars from Amazon.ca last year (http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00IHTALMI/ref=pe_386430_30332290_TE_3p_dp_1).[http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00IHTALMI/ref=pe_386430_30332290_TE_3p_dp_1).] It is advertised for the Note 3 but works perfectly with the Note Pro 12. Once plugged, just insert the Logitech Unifying receiver that comes with a Logitech combo, like the K360 that I found at Costco for 20 $ can, to get a fully working keyboard/mouse. On the positive side, the K360 keyboard is larger, keys are more spaced and you get a mouse for the price. There are two potential drawbacks, however... it is a bit cumbersome so not very convenient in travelling, and you can't charge the Note Pro when the combo is in use... but it does the job, one retrieves productivity at a low cost and no Bluetooth connection is needed :-).
