Hello @Maciej Janiczek ! Welcome to the community

I will be more than happy to help you with the pairing issue you are having with the Logitech Illuminated Living-Room Keyboard K830.

The Logitech Illuminated Living-Room Keyboard K830 works with both desktop and laptop computers and is compatible with the following operating systems.

    • Windows® 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 or later
    • Android™5.0 or later
    • Chrome OS™
    • USB port or Bluetooth Smart enabled computer

We cannot guaranty that the pairing will work when the keyboard is directly plugged into a TV.

If you have further questions, please let me know.

    Warm regards,

    LogiMarion

I'm trying to use mine for the TV (NOT A COMPUTER OR LAPTOP!!!) and it's not working when I am using YouTube or Netflix. Why is it called a living room keyboard when it's most likely for the computer/laptop??????

I bought the keyboard for my father for Christmas. I set it up with no problems (instructions didnt really help me actually) but discovered that it only works if I'm using the browser via the Smart TV. For Netflix/Hulu/YouTube or other streaming apps, the keyboard doesnt work. The latter is what I was intending to use the keyboard for. I am also returning this today back to Best Buy. Its 2017, they need to get with the program and make ALL keyboard compatible with most apps and most Smart TVs. Ridiculous.

This is really ridiculous. Best Buy promotes this as a Bluetooth keyboard that connects directly to the smart TV. The instructions that came with it talks in circles. First it says it has to go through a laptop or PC & then it says OR TV. Then it says the Unify-er has to be hooked up, then it says to make sure for hookup directly to Smart TV's to make sure it's NOT there. Then all the sudden it magically reappears. Trouble Shooting is the same way. It says to make sure to have it with the adapter, Then it says to try it in the PC, then it says to make sure it's not there. I called support. He kept insisting that my brand new 65" Samsung wasn't equipped with Bluetooth. Then he said the K830 wasn't Bluetooth. Why do you guys promote it as a "Living Room Keyboard" if you can't hook it directly to the Smart TV. If I had all my computer equipment in my living room, I'd just attach a 65" monitor to it & saved all the time & aggrevation. Your marketing & Support teams need some serious schooling.

I agree, def. ridiculous. Here's the thing = the 830 keyboard works fine in both unifying receiver mode and blue tooth with my laptop, HTC 1 phone, and Kindle Fire ----- but not with either of our Samsung Televisions. So I'm assuming Logitech customer service like the robot answer above (who I must say I've used for years and have never had a bit of trouble with before) is essentially ignorant about this aspect of their product. My next stop is Samsung.

Note:  the fine fine print on page 4 of the instructions says "You can also use your keyboard to control a TV. Refer to the documentation supplied by your TV manufacturer for compatibility information and further connection details."

Lloyd6180 I have tried to reach Samsung once, but missed their return call. Sounds like we are all in this together. I did get the keyboard to work with just the unifyer (no pairing) in the "web" section in the smart TV. Just plugged it in & started typing. So far, the functionality is limited & most non-traditional keys are useless. I am going to keep at this. If I get any better information, I will pass it on. Could you please do the same for me.
