UE Boom Update
-
It took five tries to get this to post, so now that it is posted I'm adding images.
I have another UE Boom that is on the latest firmware and a UE Megaboom, so they work great for #PARTYUP but without the latest firmware I can't get these to add to the mix.
How can I update my UE Boom devices to the latest firmware?
1) See that update is available.
2) Click on "UE BOOM" to do the update and see this.
3) Clicking "Got it" takes me back to the original menu. Clicking "Learn More" takes me to a page not found.

I was able to find a downloadable version of the PC Update Software here:
I found a downloadable link here:

I want to thank Jeggen for the posts here and confirm another successful update. I just refreshed the firmware for two UE Booms to gain back stereo functionality in the same fashion Jeggen described above. First I had to download and run the Windows installer with one Boom plugged in at a time--which I must admit I was leery about since the first hyperlink didn't work. Afterward I initiated the second update for each UE Boom through the phone application.
To Other Users: It's not you. Ultimate Ear's phone software disables functionality unless you agree to upgrade the firmware on every single device on their timetable. Right now, this process is cumbersome and confusing. Luckily another user showed the way and I can confirm it worked.
To Logitech: the process for updates is overly-complicated and not user-friendly. It shouldn't be a hunt to find the desktop application for updates. I already paid for the device and convinced others to get Booms, too. If you must insist I update (which seems dubious to begin with) give clear documentation on the UE website!

Thanks guys for taking the time to say thank you! I am glad it was helpful. I feel like Logitech should be paying me for supporting their products though! (Or just hire better support people.) Our UE Booms worked great for our wedding and reception and are fantastic little devices.

This is an interesting thread but I am still stuck.
I just bought two UE Boom 2 devices, the Firmware is on v 1.3.88. Since the app doesn't offer me an update I tried the second link (UEFWUpdate_1.4.57.exe). The installed update assistant opens up and tells me to plug in the yellow usb cable. I did that but nothing happened.
But the windows device manager correctly recognizes the UE Boom 2. Any ideas?

I searched for hours... and just minutes after posting this I found another thread that suggested to do a factory reset (turn device on and press power and volume down buttons). Then I deleted cache and data of the app and after re-connecting the UE Boom 2 the app offered me a newer firmware. The installation went fine (with a nervous pausing at 99%) and now everything is ok.
The app now also offered a new firmware for the second device but the progress never went beyond 0% so I had to do a factory reset for this one, too. Now that update worked like with the first one. Firmware is now 2.1.107 on both devices.

@R H? u saved my *** I tried to update my Boom2 for hours but I always stucked at 0%. I tried to update through the windows Updater but that shitty thing didn't recognize my Boom. then I found this thread and it saved my *** after two factory resets the App finally offered the right update. Thank u very much

Got a UE Boom 2, stuck at firmware 1.3.88 tried 30 different ways of factory resets, cache clearing, data clearing, reinstalling of app, relinking. Tried the Windows firmware assistant on 3 diffrent windows machines (2xWin10, 1xWin7) nothing works. This is rediculous. How can a company **** so bad at supporting their own device. One that is not even out of stores yet. Really sad Logitech.
Could update my Megaboom without problem, now that supports the Party Mode, but now I can't even stereo link the Megaboom with new firmware to the UE Boom 2 stuck at 1.3.88. So the only thing Logitech accompished is making it worse. I'd really like to swing by rip the mouse cord from you developers fingers and give 'em a wipping.

UPDATE as of 10/05/2018
You open the app and it says you need to update from computer so you put in your email address. The email you get looks like the one below:
Then you can download the NEW update software for pc/mac and it works. Unfortunately the original Ue Boom dose not support block party, but hey you have an up to date speaker that is capable with all the cool features it support's. I hope this works for you, as it worked for me. Good luck!

For anyone still having problems updating to the newest firmware (2.2.1)
If the App-Update-Method doesnt work, you need to download the V3-Desktop-Updater. You only get this one if you enter your Email-Account. I'll uploaded the current Desktop-Updater on zippy so you dont have to give away your Address!

Windows will recognize your UE Boom properly and it starts updating.
Cheers.

This problem is ridiculous… thank you all for the tips. Wasted a weekend to get this done.
Definitive answer for me was: Download this version of the updater for Windows (the only I could make work - and it supports Windows 10 just fine). Then run it, plug your UE Boom 2 on the USB and that's it!

Note: this is a redirect to logitech's file server, so I trusted the .exe file.

Here are the links to the desktop version - so hard to find!:
In case these stop working - here's a link to get the links sent to your own email:
