Logitech Options won't load in - Windows 10
AnsweredHey,
I have a problem with the Logitech Options program on my desktop computer runs Windows 10 Home. It loads, but after all nothing happens, a blank grey window opens where I supposed to see my devices, but I don't.
I've started using Logitech Options 2 years ago when I bought my MX Master 2S. It worked very well for me, I could set everything I wanted, but since this error has appeared, I can't do anything at all and when I reinstall an older version it looses all my data tho, I can get all of it back from backups.
Does anyone have any idea what could I do against this, except the one to use an older version?
Thanks for your answers,
Matt

Hi, elad na,
Have you tried to install Logitech Options version 7.10.3 ?
I had the same situation as yours. Uninstalling, deleting files & reinstalling. Didn't work.
I did all that from my standard Windows 10 account. So, I log on to my administrator account to try the step again. Somehow, Windows 10 auto-detect my MX Master 2S & automatically install the driver. And it works. I can open my Logitech Options & even download my setting from the cloud.
Logitech Options that were installed was version 7.10.3 & want to update it to version 7.14.70. I hit OK thinking everything will be fine. And just after that, everything broke again. My Logitech Options won't load; just a blank grey window.
I uninstalled Logitech Options (again), restart my PC, log on to my administrator account, Windows 10 detect my mouse & download the driver. It works again. But of course, I don't update the software and stuck with version 7.10.3. My Logitech Options works fine on my PC without any hiccup since then.
I hope this will help. Sorry for not posting my experience earlier. Love to hear comments from Logitech.

I have the same problem for months... All the new version has blank page. The only way can make MX Master working is version 6.40 and before.
But the 6.40's Options will not run at startup on my windows 10 1903.
And I want to buy MX Master 3. If I cannot fix this how should I use it?
I also tried many ways to fix it. Like reinstall vc runtime, sfc scannow, reinstall windows without reset... None of them works.
Please!!

I used process monitor to log what Options going on when starting... It seems the circle turns servral times are trying make the UI working, but after times it gived up. I checked the whole log, the process dead and born again and again. Always ends in the REGKEY "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\GRE_Initialize".
I think there is something wrong with the fonts or system GUI setting. I am using chinese in 4K monitor with 150% scaling. Hope these info can be used to debug.

I had the same problem (the application was hanging with a blank grey window) and I dare to say that now I have successfully isolated the root cause of it.
At all times, all versions of the application work correctly on my machine, even the latest "Logitech Options 8.0.863", until I check the Analytics option ("Help Logitech improve its products and services..."). Once this option is checked - either during the installation or afterwards - then the issue described above arises. This behavior is deterministic.
I hope this finding will help Logitech developers to solve this problem.
Best regards
Miloslav
