logitech software and linux
AnsweredI was wondering if there are any plans at all to have the proper software for Logitech hardware for Linux?
Got a range of Logitech products, craft keyboard, master MX 3, brio 4k webcam...
It would be really good to have the option to utilize these fully on Linux as well. >I do have dual boot and windows partition as well but still, my main working env is Linux...
Any ideas if this will happen at all or any other way to set up hardware and use it on Linux properly as well?
Thanks

Solaar at https://github.com/pwr-Solaar/Solaar works fine for me on Debian/Raspbian for my core house services RPi 4.
I was so happy to get rid of the junky KVM I was using and I don't mind three buttons to switch, but it'd be nice to drop it to two (monitor input / keyboard).
The Ergo K860 has wonderful easy access buttons to switch, but the MX Vertical is on the bottom.
Now solaar will get them working, but I don't know if any special keys/key reprogramming will function.

Try installing piper for mouse support. It is great!

Also you can sign petition here (and spread the word) in order to make Logitech listen to Linux users. ---> https://www.change.org/p/logitech-logitech-support-for-linux?cs_tk=AtyLYpB2XSQCOI_BOV4AAXicyyvNyQEABF8BvKMpMWl7x002d3MsGJLbkAg%3D&utm_campaign=69f071c242674dab91a453bede433c28&utm_content=initial_v0_0_1&utm_medium=email&utm_source=recruit_sign_digest&utm_term=cs

Logi_Matt last activity says 2 months ago!
And why on earth you go and see developers team for that inquiry?
Everybody knows devs don't give a damn about that or if they actually do then there is a higher force preventing them to do it. Maybe it would be time to go and ask a project manager or brand manager...
I cannot believe Logitech is so poor at this, been around for 30 years and still no linux support?
