I upgraded my MX Master 2S to MX Master 3 in the hope this would work, but still having problems..

How difficult can it be? Lot's of people cannot use the flow software on their (work) PC. Just let us switch the mouse when pressing the keyboard easy switch button.

We made Logi give an official response, but it's just a cop-out.
They're saying it's "too hard", despite the exact same feature working via Flow.

If everyone in this thread could just use Flow for each of their unique situations, this thread wouldn't exist.

There's also evidence in a GitHub link earlier in the thread that using EasySwitch keys to implement this IS possible.

Whilst they are working on a permanent solution I would already be happy if I can use the button on top of the mouse to switch across to the next channel.

Better than constantly flipping the mouse upside down and then back again

Please... Request Logitech to include this feature, many users who need to switch devices do not have the ability to place them on the same network, many companies LAN and Internet are separate, we very much need this feature without the help of Flow, or an offline version of Flow.

This feature is very much needed. Especially since a lot of people are working from home. Switching between home and work device is common practice.

As a product manager, it is difficult to believe that the Logitech team did not consider the use case of being able to switch between computers via the MX Keys buttons alone.  While Flow functionality is a neat, but mostly a worthless trick, I have a difficult time believing that the Logitech team considered the Flow feature a viable replacement for an easy switch between computers.  Especially, since the obvious use case is to mirror KVM switch functionality.  I challenge the smart people at Logitech to make this happen.  In the meantime, Logitech should put an obvious disclaimer on the website and on product packaging. Additionally, Logitech should cease selling these two products together or in a bundle.

I don't think any of us are going to shut up about it until it's actually implemented.

Trevor Morgan I think you want to speak to Paolo Passeri who is their  Head of Product, C&P Software at Logitech. You can reach him via LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/paolopasseri/

You know he will understand because on his bio he writes:
"I have a passion for creating and managing products that empower users and make their lives better.."

Just to share, but I gave up on Logitech products.

Got multiple mouses (MX Master 3 + MX Anywhere 3) + MX Keys and was fooled by the false promise as everyone. Logitech never really answered, never even acknowledged or apologized for lying on the product (and no, saying you are sorry for the inconvenience but not being able to make a statement to tell wether or not you will support this use case is not an apology, it's only communicational bullshit to do damage control).

My guess: they are releasing Logi Bolt products based on a new receiver and soon they will will say: just buy the new Bolt products, it's implemented on it but receiver is not compatible so you need to buy again both mouse and keyboard.

I had issues with G560 RGB speakers too (sounds is cuttings randomly, whatever the port used), never fixed, never acknowledged too.

There is also a focus stealing issue on Unifying update client (it drops you out of the games), never acknowledged, never fixed.

    As a result:

    - I sold all my Logitech products

    - I bought a cool custom mech keyboard, a cool ergonomic mouse

    - I bought some standard speakers, sad to loose RGB lighting, but it was not working that well

    - replaced all the logitech software crap with a real KVM

Totally satisfied, no more issues, works whatever the network you are on, whatever the hardware plugged in, whatever the OS (Linux+Windows in my case)... And I don't rely unfinished products and software anymore (no more focus stealing during games, no more sound lost during games and movies).

Bye Logitech, see you never !!!

+1.  This is absolutely needed.  I would like to use this setup with my work computer and my home computer.  Flow won't work because work computers are isolated by firewall and flow will never be able to see the other computer.  Having to switch them independently isn't a good solution.

Please add this feature, I have two PCs in different network and flow can not be used. Binding keyboard amd mouse would be a great idea!

We really need this feature! Flow is not possible on VPN work PCs and/or Linux.

Does Logitech even care about these voices? An official statement would be great! Is this function in the backlog?

Let's not forget that there is another piece of hardware involved here => the Logitech receiver. So, probably they can implement it in the Keyboard+Mouse+Receiver firmware (that's why you have the ability for FW updates right?)

Yes, I do not care about bluetooth (for this particular feature). Probably most users here would be fine with using Logitech receiver and having this feature.

Bought the MX Keys because I assumed that I can switch both mouse and keyboard with the three keys.
Flow isn't much reliable. Sometimes it works sometimes not. Make this feature happen, please.

    Hi,

yes this is a "must have" and the answer that it is hard to do is not satisfying. There is obviously already a channel from the computer to make the mouse switch. My guess is that the issue resides maybe in the fact that the keyboard might not tell to the computer where it goes.

It might be difficult to fix but still a satisfying answer would be "we heard you and we will put all the necessary efforts to make this happen as soon as possible".

There could also be some intermediate solution proposals too, for example making the switch happen for both mouse and keyboard through a click on the flow mouse icon, even if flow doesn't fully work.

    BR,

I agree with all the comments... but we're not getting anything soon so if you want to check out this thread you may find solutions that work for you: https://github.com/Logitech/logi_craft_sdk/issues/28

I have my Mx Keys, Mx Master 3 and monitor/tv all switching at the click of a button... now as convenient as it should be out of the box.

Solaar may also be an option if you're using Linux.

Look back through the comments and you’ll find it’s mostly possible. I have a nice script mapped to my MX3 mouse thumb button that switches between my work and desktop machines, (mouse, keyboard and monitor) even when connected to works VPN.
Obviously it’d be better if Logitech supported it officially but I think we’re beyond the “is it possible stage”.

Oh my, even 8 pages of comments and almost 2 years could not make Logitech start to work on this feature. Is there some barrier not to do so? Such as patient?

The flow is a good idea to switch with multiple screen settings, but its delay is so long and there is a couple of seconds gap neither screen has a mouse or keyboard.

Additionally, I have a Linux machine, it doesn't support the Flow. Please create this feature, it wouldn't be hard. I also code a lot.

Unfortunately Flow does not work even if the two computers are on the same physical network, when one of them is a company PC that connects through VPN.

And then of cause when you only have one monitor (which is probably the most used scenario when you need this functionality)...

I don't care if it does not work on IOS or Android. Try to make it work on Windows at least and go from there. Put it into Options+ beta then you don't have to support everything at once. Just give us this essential very needed functionality - which I thought was already there when I bought my MX keys and Master 3 mouse.

That said the MX keys are the best keyboard I have had in 25 years - and I've had a lot...

Adrian Gabriel Alexandrescu here you have:

    C:\Users\jan\bin\hidapitester.exe --vidpid 046D:C52B --usage 1 --usagePage 0xFF00 --open --length 7 --send-output "0x10,0x01,0x09,0x11,0x00,0x00,0x00"
    C:\Users\jan\bin\hidapitester.exe --vidpid 046D:C52B --usage 1 --usagePage 0xFF00 --open --length 7 --send-output "0x10,0x02,0x0a,0x1d,0x00,0x00,0x00"

it's for Master 3 and MX Keys.
    hidapitester - https://github.com/todbot/hidapitester/releases

In case it's not working for you, please read following:
    https://github.com/Logitech/logi_craft_sdk/issues/28
you should play with the last parameter (i.e. "0x10,0x01,0x09,0x11,0x00,0x00,0x00").
In my case the problem was with second byte ("0x10,THIS,0x09,0x11,0x00,0x00,0x00") - I believe it's index of device registered under Logitech Unifying Receiver.

Whenever it's working for you, you can save it as a bat file, and then create EXE app out of it. Then you can bind it to any mouse button using Logitech Option.

Thank you for linking the scripts above! I was able to get it working and can now switch seamlessly between my systems.

As you mentioned, there was some trial and error, but was able to figure it out by just testing out different numbers with the second byte. In the end, this is what worked for me

    MX Master 3 Mouse - 1 to 2
    hidapitester.exe --vidpid 046D:C52B --usage 1 --usagePage 0xFF00 --open --length 7 --send-output "0x10,0x01,0x0a,0x11,0x01,0x00,0x00"
    MX Keyboard - 1 to 2
    hidapitester.exe --vidpid 046D:C52B --usage 1 --usagePage 0xFF00 --open --length 7 --send-output "0x10,0x03,0x09,0x11,0x01,0x00,0x00"

    MX Keyboard - 2 to 1
    hidapitester.exe --vidpid 046D:C52B --usage 1 --usagePage 0xFF00 --open --length 7 --send-output "0x10,0x03,0x09,0x11,0x00,0x00,0x00"
    MX Master 3 Mouse - 2 to 1
    hidapitester.exe --vidpid 046D:C52B --usage 1 --usagePage 0xFF00 --open --length 7 --send-output "0x10,0x02,0x0a,0x11,0x00,0x00,0x00"

This functionality is very very needed. Though I can understand that it is a bit difficult to implement. Because if you want to implement this properly, independent of the OS, it is actually something that has to be baked into the firmware of the devices and probably even the receivers. Definitely not straightforward if this hasn't been planned from the start.

Though even without this you can accomplish a working setup. Currently I have a Windows and a Linux machine where I switch between with 1 button press. It works perfectly. Though it relies on software installed on Windows side and on Linux side. Not ideal... but workable.

I have documented my steps on my GitHub page. Maybe somebody finds this useful:
