Before setting up your Harmony 300 remote, you will need to find the manufacturer and model number for each of the devices in your home entertainment system (such as your TV, cable or satellite receiver, DVD player, or VCR), and write this information down as a reference. When you are setting up your remote, you are prompted for this information, allowing the Harmony remote to tailor its commands to your system.
