Many wireless networks use encryption, and require a key to be entered in order to connect. If your Duet cannot connect to the wireless network, it may be an encryption issue. Please select your type of encryption form the following list:
To set up WEP with your Squeezebox Duet, do the following:
-
Find the encryption key from your router. See your router documentation for instructions on finding the WEP key.
-
There are two types of WEP - 64 bit and 128 bit. Check your router to see which one you are using.
-
For 64-bit, the key should be ten (10) characters.
-
For 128-bit, the key should be 26 characters.
-
-
Verify that you entered the encryption key correctly into the Controller.
-
If your key has five or thirteen characters, you will need to convert it into a format your Duet can read. Please go to http://slimdevices.com/asciitohex.php and use the converter tool, then enter the resulting key into your Squeezebox Controller.
-
If you still cannot connect, then it is likely that there are other problems. For additional suggestions, please see Knowledge Base article 360023385653.
