In certain Windows computer configurations, particularly those with multiple external monitors, triggering the Actions Ring can cause Options+ to close unexpectedly. This is typically indicated by a banner within the application displaying the message “Backend connection problem, click here to relaunch backend,” and the Actions Ring will fail to appear on the screen.
If the issue occurs, try the following workaround:
- Navigate to Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics.
- Within the "Customized settings for applications" section, select "Add desktop app" and locate C:\Program Files\LogiOptionsPlus\logioptionsplus_agent.exe
- Search within the list of "Customized settings for applications" for logioptionsplus_agent.exe and click on it. Change the default value of "Let Windows decide" for "GPU preference" to one of the alternative options, e.g., “High Performance (Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics)”.
- Restart the computer or, alternatively, access Task Manager > Processes > Logi Options+ Agent, right-click, and select “End task.”
