Yes, the RS H-Shifter works with the G-series wheels. Compatibility requirements and functionality will vary depending on the platform you use the wheel and shifter on.
PC: No barriers to functionality. You can just connect the H-Shifter to an available USB port on the PC and then configure it in the racing titles that you'd like to play. Doing this, you will have all seven forward gears and reverse available.
Console: You must use the Logitech G Racing Adapter to connect the RS H-Shifter to the G-series wheels. This is because on consoles, all peripherals (pedals, shifters, and so on) need to be connected to the wheel, which then connects to the console. The G-series wheels do not have a USB port on them, so the Racing Adapter converts the H-Shifter’s USB to the serial port connection that the G-series wheels use. You will have access to six forward gears and reverse in this configuration, because the G-series wheels only support a shifter with six gears plus reverse.
