This is normal behavior when Free Wheel (free scroll) mode is enabled. In this mode, the mouse scroll wheel has very low resistance, allowing it to spin freely. Because of this, even very small movements, slight touches, or residual momentum can register as input, sometimes appearing as brief opposite scrolling. This behavior is normal across all devices that support Free Wheel functionality and is not a defect.
