Once your speaker is paired and connected, you’ll have to select the Logitech X50 as the default playback device in the Windows Sound settings. Here’s how:
Smartphone and other mobile devices
- On your smartphone or mobile device, go to the Bluetooth settings menu and make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
- Turn your speaker on, then press and hold down the power button until you hear a tone to activate Bluetooth pairing.
NOTE: If this is the first time you’re connecting your speaker out of the box, it should already be in discoverable/pairing mode. - Find and tap on your speaker, Logitech X50, in the Bluetooth devices menu.
Connect to a Mac
- From the Apple menu, select System Preferences.
- Open the Bluetooth preference pane.
- Turn your speaker on, then press and hold down the power button until you hear a tone to activate Bluetooth pairing. Logitech X50 will appear in the Devices list.
- Once the Logitech X50 appears, click Pair next to the device.
- In the System Preferences menu, select Sound.
- Select the Output tab.
- Select the Logitech X50. Your speaker is now ready to use.
Connect to a PC
- Turn your speaker on, then press and hold down the power button until you hear a tone to activate Bluetooth pairing.
- Open the Control Panel.
- Select Hardware and Sound.
- Select Devices and Printers.
- Select Bluetooth Devices.
- Click Add a device.
- Select Logitech X50 from the list of devices, and then click Next.
Once your speaker is paired and connected, you’ll have to select the Logitech X50 as the default playback device in the Windows Sound settings. Here’s how:
- Open the Control Panel.
- Select Hardware and Sound.
- Select Manage audio devices (under Sound).
- Select “Speakers Bluetooth Hands-free Audio” and click Set Default.
- Click OK.
