This could be due to the speakers being connected incorrectly. Make sure you are connecting the audio cable from the speakers to "Line Out" or "Speaker" jack on the sound card on the computer. Please refer to the computer or soundcard documentation to identify the proper jack.
This could also happen when the computer’s soundcard is not selected as the Preferred Playback Device. To check this, please use the following instructions.
- Open the Windows Control Panel.
- Double click the "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon. ("Multimedia" for some users).
- Click on the Audio tab (Windows XP).
In the playback box, ensure that the soundcard for your computer is selected. If you are unsure of how to do this, please refer to the computer or soundcard manufacturer.
