Squeezebox Touch can play music from both SD cards and from USB drives.
WARNING: Do not use any other attachable USB devices (e.g. iPhones or other cellular phones, iPods, PDAs, cameras, etc).
To play music stored on a SD card or USB drive through your Squeezebox Touch, do the following:

Attaching an SD Card or USB Drive:
NOTE: The SD Card or USB drive must have at least 1% of free space available.

Attach the SD Card or USB Drive to the Squeezebox Touch. You will see a message stating that the device is being attached:

You will see an Important Notice (shown below) advising you always to eject the connected device before disconnecting it:

Clicking “OK” will bring you to the Media Management Menu for the storage device you just attached.

From here you’ll have the following options:
- Start Squeezebox Server (Previous behavior was that Squeezebox Server started automatically)
- Browse the media for images. Allows a user to access images on the media if not only being used for the music database.
- Start slideshow. Allows user to use media as a source for photos and use them for a slide show.
- Eject SD/USB. The user can eject the drive from here when finished.
- Additionally, you can skip this page and go directly to the Squeezebox Touch home screen by selecting the "Right Arrow".

You can access the media management menu at any time from the Squeezebox Touch home screen.

To access your music, you must first start Squeezebox Server. You can start the server from the media management menu if you didn’t start it upon initially attaching the storage device.
NOTE: Once you start Squeezebox Server, it will initiate the music scanner to build a database of the files you have on the storage drive.

Your Squeezebox Touch should now be configured to play music and access photos from your SD Card or USB Drive.

Go into “My Music” and select the music of your choice to play. Click the Left arrow on the top of the screen to get back to the Home Menu.
NOTE: Once the internal Squeezebox Server is running within the Squeezebox Touch, other Squeezebox devices can connect and use it as a music library. You can use the Squeezebox Touch as a music server for up to two additional Squeezebox devices.
Removing an SD Card or USB drive:
To safely remove an SD Card or USB drive from Squeezebox Touch, do the following:

On the Squeezebox Touch home Screen, choose the device to eject:

This will bring you to the media management menu.

Select “Eject SD” or “Eject USB” depending on the type of storage device you have attached.

Confirm or cancel to eject the device:

You will see a message stating the device is being Ejected.

You will see a message stating that it is save to remove the device. Choose OK:
