Some home entertainment devices need to warm up when first powered on before they will respond to a remote control. (For example, the TV volume won't go up right after you turn the TV on, but it does when you try again 10 seconds later).
If your devices aren't powering up properly, you can adjust the warm-up time (Power-on delay) to include a longer wait time after each device is powered on. A device can have a warm-up time ranging from 0 to 60 seconds.
Preparing to adjust the Power-on delay
Before adjusting the power-on delay in your account on myharmony.com, you first need to know how long your devices take to warm up.
To prepare for power-on delay modifications:
-
Make sure all devices you want to adjust are powered off.
-
Press the power button on the original remote and count the number of seconds it takes for the device to show a picture or output audio. Repeat for any additional devices you want to modify.
-
Note the amount of time required for your device to warm up, and then adjust the power-on delay.
