If commands are missing or not working properly, your Harmony remote can "learn" them from your original device remote. Your remote can also apply commands you've already configured in your Harmony account.
NOTE: Some commands might be missing due to errors made when entering device model numbers in your Harmony account. Each device has to be accurately identified in your account on myharmony.com to successfully configure your remote and properly control the devices in your home entertainment system.
To add commands:
-
Log in to your account on myharmony.com.
-
Select your Harmony Ultimate remote from the Welcome screen.
-
Click Devices.
-
Click the device you want to update.
-
Click Add or Fix a Command.
-
Select Add a missing command.
-
Enter the name of the new command, and then click Next.
-
Use the USB cable to connect your Harmony remote to your computer when prompted, and then click Next.
-
Place your original device remote within 3 inches (8 cm) of the IR input sensor on your Harmony remote (see your remote's documentation to find the location).
-
Press the corresponding button on the original device remote for about 2 seconds.
-
Click Finish on the "You have successfully taught the XXX command" page.
IMPORTANT: Before you can use a new command in an activity, you need to program the command to an on-screen or physical button on your Harmony remote.
-
Click Buttons and select an activity or device from the pull-down menu to:
-
Change your screen options (see answer 360023414253 for details).
OR
-
Change what a button does (see answer 360023414253 for details).
-
-
Click Sync and then follow the on-screen instructions to update your remote.
NOTE: If Wi-Fi isn't enabled, connect your remote to your computer before you press Sync.
