- Check that the issue with the microphone not being recognized by first trying a different USB port, USB cable, and a different computer.
- If the microphone works on a different computer, then the issue might be with the drivers on your current computer.
- If it does not work after trying a new cable, port, and computer, please create a support case and we'll be happy to assist further.
- If the microphone is not being recognized on your Sound menu, see if it's recognized in Device Manager:
- Type “Device Manager” into your Windows Search box to find the Device Manager.
- Expand the Sound, Video, and Game Controllers list in Device Manager to display the drivers.
- Right-click on a driver other than your Blue mic.
- Select Update driver software, click Search automatically for updated driver software, then wait for the Finish prompt to show up.
- Repeat these steps for each driver besides your Blue Mic under Sound, Video, and Game Controllers. This updates the sound drivers on your computer.
NOTE: If you have a customized machine, please contact the manufacturer for driver updates. - If your Blue Mic driver has a yellow exclamation mark:
- Right-click on your Blue mic driver.
- Select Update Driver Software.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software and wait for the installation to finish.
- Check if your mic is under the Sound Menu Recording tab.
- Proceed with the following if the above steps did not work out:
If your Blue mic driver still has a yellow exclamation mark, try to manually select a driver.- Right-click on your Blue mic driver.
- Select Browse my computer for driver software. Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. Select USB Audio Device, then press Next.
- Wait for the installation to finish. If successful, you should find your mic under the Sound Menu Recording tab.
- If your Blue mic is still not recognized and still has a yellow exclamation mark, try reinstalling the driver:
- Right-click on your Blue mic driver.
- Select Uninstall and wait for the uninstallation to complete.
- Once the uninstallation is complete, unplug your Blue mic.
IMPORTANT: It is crucial at this point to restart your computer. - After your computer has rebooted completely, wait for your Blue mic to show up in the Sound Menu Recording Devices tab.
- Check for a signal.
