Your S 510 receiver has two cables to allow it to be used on a computer that has either the mouse and keyboard PS/2 ports or one USB port.
Connecting to a USB port

Plug the black USB cable directly into a working USB port on your computer (you do not need the purple connector).

The cable with the green connector is NOT required. The mouse and keyboard will use the one USB connection.
NOTE: Using the green connector with the the USB port may interfere with the normal operation of your S 510 Desktop.

Reconnect your keyboard and mouse. Refer to Knowledge Base article 360023378473.
Connecting to a PS/2 Port
Some desktop computers and older laptops may have PS/2 ports for your mouse and keyboard. These are often color coded as purple and green.
If you wish to use these connections, you will be using both cables and the purple USB to PS/2 keyboard adaptor that came with your desktop set.

Turn your computer OFF
NOTE: All PS/2 devices must be plugged or unplugged with the computer turned OFF.

Attach the purple PS/2 Adapter (C) to the black USB cable (B).

Plug the green connector into your computer’s (green) PS/2 mouse port.

Plug the purple PS/2 adapter (attached to your USB cable) into your computer’s (purple) keyboard port.

Turn your computer on.

Reconnect your keyboard and mouse. Refer to Knowledge Base article 360023378473.
