Your Harmony Smart Control uses "activities" to turn your devices on and off (ex. Watch TV or Listen to Music).
When starting an activity, your remote will power on the devices needed and set them to the correct input. MyHarmony also lets you send other commands known as "sequence steps" when you start or end an activity.
There are two types of sequence steps:
-
Start — sends an action at the beginning of an activity
-
End — sends an action at the end of an activity
Examples of what you can do with sequence steps:
-
Open the disc tray on the DVD player to accept a disc when selecting the Watch a Movie activity.
-
Switch the cable box to Channel 749 when selecting the Watch TV activity.
-
Dim the lights with the infrared dimmer switch when selecting the Watch a Movie activity, and raise them when ending the activity.
