If you’ve recently changed your home Wi-Fi network settings, you’ll need to update the settings on the Circle View Doorbell.
Before you begin, verify the following settings:
- You have a supported iPhone/iPod touch on the latest iOS version / iPad on the latest iPadOS version — this is connected to your new home network.
- Your main unit is either:
- Connected to AC power using the mount, or
- Connected to USB power.
Then, do the following:
- Perform a factory reset of your Circle View Doorbell. You can find the instructions here.
- Open the Home app on your mobile device on iOS 13.2 / iPadOS 13.2 or later.
- Open the camera live view (which will say that the camera is not responding).
- Tap the settings icon on the top left — this should bring up the settings menu for the camera.
- Wait until you see the option to Update Accessory Wi-Fi Settings and tap this.
NOTE: This option might take a few minutes to show up and may require you to exit from and then re-enter the settings menu. - Your device should reconnect to the new home network.
Follow the appropriate instructions for your unit’s connection:
- Click here if your main unit is connected to AC power using the mount
- Click here if the unit is connected to USB power.
- Disconnect your unit from power — use the included ejector tool and push it into the small circular opening on the bottom right of the device and press firmly. Once you hear the lock release, you can then carefully remove the main unit from the mount. Keep the unit disconnected for at least 30 seconds before proceeding to the next step.
- Snap the main unit into mount while pressing down the button — start by inserting the bottom first, then follow with the top as shown.
TIP: You will know the unit is secure in the mount when you hear two clicks (bottom and top). DO NOT LET GO OF THE BUTTON.
- Continue to hold the button as the status LED changes colors. Let go when you see the breathing magenta Status LED (6-9 seconds after applying power).
