When you connect the headset with Bluetooth and use the headset’s microphone, you may experience low audio quality. This is because the headset has two modes for audio.
- For calls — activated when the microphones are in use
- For music — optimized for music or other media listening
To improve the audio quality, quit any applications using a microphone, for example video conferencing apps or game apps. If the headset is connected to a laptop, you can check which app has access to or is using the microphone.
To turn off microphone access for specific desktop apps:
- Windows — open Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone. In the right panel, under Let apps access your microphone, slide the toggle to Off for the apps you want to deny access.
- Mac — go to System Preferences, and in the left panel, click Privacy & Security. In the right panel, click Microphone and slide the toggle next to the app to disable or enable. Or go to Control Center on the menu bar and look for a microphone icon.
