The Actions Ring is CONTEXTUAL, which means, it is capable of recognizing the application you are currently using. When you open the Actions Ring, it displays the actions specific to the application that you are using at that moment, if you created a profile for that app.
For instance, if you are currently working in Photoshop and you open the Actions Ring, you will see the actions that you have assigned in the Photoshop profile.
