Audio file formats are supported on Squeezebox Touch either natively or by transcoding. Transcoding means the Squeezebox Touch’s software will convert the audio file to a format the Squeezebox Touch can play . Supported file formats are as follows:

- Apple Lossless
- FLAC
- HD-AAC
- M4A
- MP3
- OGG
- WAV
- Windows Media
Transcoded:
- Monkeys Audio (.ape)
- Musepac
- Wavpack
- Windows Media Lossless (Can only be played on computers with Windows Media Installed)
