You can customize the screen options on your Harmony remote to change the current screen options or to add new commands to suit your own preferences.

If the command you want to assign to a screen option on your Harmony remote doesn’t appear in the Commands list, you can teach the commands to your Harmony remote.

To add screen options on your Harmony remote
Before you begin, connect your Harmony remote to your computer using the USB cable. Log in to your MyHarmony account and complete the following steps:

1. Click the Buttons tab.
2. Below Change or Fix your Screen Options, select a device or activity from the list and click Go.
   
   The page displays information about how your Harmony remote screen is organized, including:
   • A display of the ‘pages’ of commands available on the Harmony remote screen for the selected activity or device.
   • Specific information about the selected command, identifying the device being controlled, the command assigned, and the label that will appear on the screen for that command.

• To add a new command, click Add or Fix Command(s). Click and drag the commands from the Commands list to the Add to Screen list and click OK.
  
  NOTE: If the command you want to assign doesn’t appear in the Commands list, you can click Add or Fix Command, and complete a few additional steps to teach the missing command to your Harmony remote using your original device remote. After teaching the command, it will appear in the list and be available for you to assign to a button on your Harmony remote.
  
  
• You can rearrange the screen options by dragging them to the new page and position.
  
  NOTE: You can delete a screen option by dragging it to the trash.
  
  
• When you’ve finished customizing your remote, click OK to return to the Buttons tab.
• Click Sync to update your Harmony remote with the new settings.

To teach a missing command
You can teach a missing command when customizing buttons for that device, or for an activity that uses that device.

Log in to your MyHarmony account and complete the following steps:

1. Click the Buttons tab.
2. Below Change or Fix your Screen Options, select a device or activity from the list and click Go.
3. If you selected an activity, select the device you want to send the command to. The Command list for the selected device is displayed.
4. Click Add or Fix Command.
5. Select Add a missing command and type the name of the command you want to teach to your Harmony remote. If possible, use the name of the corresponding button on your original device remote.
6. When you are ready, click Next.
7. Refer to the on-screen instructions for details about positioning your Harmony remote and original remote.
8. Follow the on-screen instructions, pressing the corresponding command button on your original remote. If the Harmony remote cannot interpret the command, follow the on-screen instructions to resolve the problem. If the Harmony remote recognizes the command, you will see “receiving” and “recognized” messages as the new command is taught to the Harmony remote.
9. Once the command has been successfully recognized, the Finish button will become accessible. Click Finish. Your newly taught command will now appear in the Commands list.

NOTE: To assign the command to the remote screen, drag it from the Commands list to the Add to Screen list. When you are finished adding and rearranging your screen options, click OK to return to the Buttons tab, and then click Sync to update your Harmony remote with your new settings.
