The Windows operating system has a setting called "Single-click to open an item". When this setting is enabled, a single mouse click acts as a double-click. Disabling this setting will return the mouse to the standard use where you have to double-click to open an item.
To disable the "Single-click to open at item" setting:
-
Open Control Panel > Folder Options.
-
On the General tab, select the "Double-click to open an item" option.
-
Click OK to save the new setting.
