If your iPad stops responding to the keyboard in apps such as Notes and Safari, use the steps below to try to resolve the issue. Test the keyboard between each step to see if it's working again.
NOTE: To conserve power, your keyboard cover enters sleep mode when there has been no activity. Before trying the following, press any key to wake the keyboard and try again. You may need to give it a few seconds after pressing a key.
-
Turn your keyboard off, and then back on.
-
Make sure your keyboard is charged. The indicator light will be red if your keyboard has less than 20% of battery life left.
-
Check to see that Bluetooth is active and if your keyboard is connected to your iPad (it could be paired, but not connected) Here's how:
-
Tap Settings and then Bluetooth.
-
Find "UltraThin mini" and make sure it's connected. If not, tap it to connect.
-
-
Restart your iPad by pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons together until the screen goes blank. Wait for the iPad to reboot.
