The keyboard folio provides two viewing positions: typing and browsing.
-
To browse, open the keyboard folio and slide your iPad forward, folding it over the keyboard.
TIP: In the browsing position, you can turn off the keyboard to conserve battery power (see answer 360023418653 for instructions).
-
To type, slide the edge of your iPad into position above the keys. The built-in magnets will secure it in place.
NOTE: If you don't use the keyboard for a while in typing position, it enters sleep mode automatically. Press any key to wake it. If you turned the keyboard folio off when in browsing mode, you'll need to turn it back on.
