This article discusses the procedure for detaching the dock lock from a notebook's cover.
To detach the dock lock from your notebook cover:
- Use the detach tool included in the dock-lock tool kit as shown below.
- Place the dock-lock detach tool onto the dock-lock.
- Press down slightly on the detach tool and turn it in a clockwise direction as shown below.
- The dock-lock will detach from your notebook cover.
- Discard the used dock lock.
NOTE: A dock lock may only be attached onto a notebook cover once. If it is removed, it cannot be re-used. A spare dock lock and alcohol wipe is included in the dock lock tool kit.
- If any adhesive remnant remains on the notebook cover, wipe clean with a dry soft cloth.
