Your MX 3000 mouse has a standby mode to conserve power when not in use but you can also turn off your mouse if it will not be used for long periods of time.
To turn off your mouse:

Press and hold the red button for a few seconds.
- The green power indicator on the bottom of the mouse will go off.
Your mouse is now off.
To turn your mouse back on:

Press and hold the red button for a few seconds,
- The green power indicator will come on.
Your mouse is now turned on.
NOTE: The power button is also your connect button. Make sure when you turn the mouse off you hold the button until the indicator light goes off. Releasing the button before the mouse turns off will cause the mouse to reconnect and you may lose mouse functionality which will require you to reconnect the mouse to the receiver.
