You can use the Harmony Smart Control to control your Sony PlayStation 3 using the Bluetooth technology built into the Harmony Hub. Here's how:
NOTE: Make sure Sony PS3 Control for HDMI is turned off. See answer 360023417633 for more information.
To add your Sony PlayStation 3 to your account:
- 
Log in to your account on myharmony.com.
 - 
Select your Harmony Smart Control from the Welcome screen.
 - 
Click Devices.
 - 
Click Add device.
 - 
Enter "Sony" as the Manufacturer and "PlayStation 3" as the Model Number, and then click Add.
NOTE: You'll see a message saying that it must be paired with your Harmony Hub before it can be controlled by your remote.
 - 
Click Yes to confirm your device.
 - 
Click Activities.
 - 
Click Add Activity.
 - 
Create an activity and add your PlayStation 3 and any other devices you want to use in this activity.
 - 
Follow the instructions to finish creating your activity.
 
To update your smart device with these changes:

Log in to your Harmony app.
 - 
Tap Menu.
 - 
Tap Settings.
 - 
Tap Sync your Harmony.
 
NOTE: You can also sync your changes on the PC:

Connect your hub to the PC.
 - 
Log in to your account on myharmony.com.
 - 
Select your Harmony Smart Control from the Welcome screen.
 - 
Click Sync and follow the instructions to Sync from PC.
 
To add your PlayStation 3 with your Harmony app:

Launch the Harmony app.
 - 
Tap Menu.
 - 
Tap Settings.
 - 
Tap Edit devices and activities.
 - 
Tap Devices.
 - 
Tap Add Device.
 - 
Enter "Sony" as the Manufacturer and "PlayStation 3" as the Model Number, and then click Add.
 - 
Tap Create Activity.
 - 
Tap Add Activity.
 - 
Tap Play a Game.
 - 
Select the devices you want to use in this activity.
NOTE: You'll be prompted to verify that your devices will power on.
 - 
Select inputs for devices used in the activity.
NOTE: The Harmony app will perform a test of the inputs to verify you've entered them correctly.
 - 
Follow the on-screen instructions to pair with Bluetooth.
NOTE: A message will display when your Sony PlayStation 3 has been paired with the Harmony Hub.
 
Your activity is created when the pairing is complete.
First-time use of your remote with your Sony PlayStation 3:
- 
On your remote, press the activity button for your PlayStation 3.
NOTE: If using the Harmony app, tap the activity icon for PlayStation 3.
 - 
If you used myharmony.com to set up the PlayStation 3, pair your Harmony app with your PlayStation 3when prompted.
 - 
Follow the instructions on your Harmony app for Bluetooth pairing.
NOTE: You need your PlayStation 3 controller to navigate through the PlayStation 3 menus.
 
After they successfully pair, you're ready to control your PlayStation 3 using your Harmony Smart Control.
NOTE: Communication between the hub and PlayStation 3 is via Bluetooth, so you don't need to have the hub or mini blaster placed in line of sight of the PlayStation 3.
