Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) version 8.79 for Windows includes a required firmware update for the G810 gaming keyboard. This firmware lets you customize function keys to act as G-Keys.

NOTE: Your G810 gaming keyboard will not require this firmware update if it’s already using firmware version 102.1.22 (or later). To check the firmware version, launch LGS, click on the Settings icon, then click the G810 tab and locate the version.

Follow these steps to update the firmware on your gaming keyboard:

1. Make sure that LGS 8.79 is installed on your PC. You can get the update from the product’s Download page.
2. Connect the G810 gaming keyboard to a USB port on your computer.
3. Launch LGS and click the Customize Function Keys icon. 

   

4. In the pop-up window, click Update to run the firmware update utility.

   

5.  Disconnect and reconnect your gaming keyboard to begin the update.

   

6. Click Close once the firmware update is complete.
