Provided the wheelbase is run between 10 degrees and 40 degrees centigrade (50-104 degrees fahrenheit) ambient temperature, the active cooling system will increase in speed to maintain a safe operating temperature for the components. In the unlikely event that the wheelbase gets too hot, it will then decrease the torque output of the wheel to prevent overheating. If conditions do not improve, then the wheelbase will shut down until the fan has returned the components back to normal operating temperature.
If the wheelbase does shut down, wait at least 30 minutes before resuming use, but do not unplug the power supply. This ensures that the active cooling in the base can help reduce the temperature.
