If you’re finding your charging case is unresponsive or not charging, there may be an issue with the power source they are connected to.
- First, try plugging your charging case into an alternate power source, such as a laptop port or another outlet.
- Try using an alternate USB-C charging cord (**NOTE: We do not recommend fast chargers due to the fast charge feature already built into the device. Using a fast charger will cause your UE DROPS to be more prone to unresponsiveness and can prevent them from holding a charge due to overcharging.)
After attempting the troubleshooting above, and you’re still finding your charging case is unresponsive, please try the final troubleshooting below to perform a factory reset.
- Leave your UE DROPs plugged in for at least an hour.
- Place the buds back in the case, make sure the case remains open during this process.
- Press the case button for about three seconds and release. You should see one light, then three rapidly flashing LEDs.
- Push the case button two times rapidly.
- You should see three flashing orange lights.
- Wait for the LEDs to go back to the three rapidly flashing the same color they were in step 5 (about 10 seconds).
- Your buds should now be ready to pair (connect to Bluetooth). If you have already paired them to your devices previously, you’ll want to go in and remove that previous connection before you pair your UE DROPS to your device after they’ve been reset to factory settings.
