The most likely cause of poor video quality can be one or more of the following:
- Video conference application: It's possible that your video conferencing application doesn’t support 4K or 1080p. Refer to the available resource for your video-conferencing application.
- USB Bandwidth: Too many active USB devices used at the same time can affect the overall quality of your video stream. Disconnect or turn off any USB devices not in use.
- CPU utilization: Too many processes running on your CPU can affect the overall quality of your video quality. Terminate any applications or processes you may not be using.
- Network bandwidth: If you don’t have enough network bandwidth can affect the overall quality of your video.
Try these tips to ensure the camera is working as it should:
- Verify that the network or video conferencing service is not the cause of the video quality issues. You can test this by using your computer camera video application and compare the quality.
- Make sure to plug the USB-C cable directly into the computer.
- Make sure the privacy shutter is open.
- If you see flickering, make sure you have selected the right anti-flicker settings in the software (50Hz or 60Hz).
- Confirm that you’re using the latest firmware. If you’re not sure, you can check if your webcam is up-to-date using the Logi Options+ or G HUB software:
- Open your software.
- Go to Settings.
- Check if there is new firmware available to download and install.
