- Make sure your Logitech product is on and set to Unifying — some Logitech products have multiple connection settings (Bluetooth, Unifying, and so on).
- Make sure that your device and Logitech product are within proximity of each other. Wireless limitations can range from 3 to 33 or more feet.
- Wireless devices are susceptible to wireless interference. Try moving away from other sources of wireless signal or from overly saturated wireless areas. For instance, if you’re using your Logitech device right next to a microwave, or an older cordless phone, try moving further away to see if it improves your device’s connectivity.
- USB 3.0 ports are known to generate “noise” on the 2.4GHz frequency. This can interfere with wireless devices that use this frequency. The Unifying receiver also uses the 2.4 GHz frequency and placing it in or close to a USB 3.0 port can have a negative effect on functionality. Plug the Unifying receiver in a USB 2.0 port as far away as possible from the USB 3.0 port, or use a USB cable extender to move the Unifying receiver away from the bad interference. (USB 3.0 ports are blue.)
- Some materials can degrade the strength of a wireless signal. Metal surfaces, chicken wire inside walls, or even using your Logitech device on water can degrade the wireless signal between it and your device.
- Check the placement of your Unifying receiver. For example, if your desktop tower is underneath a table or in an enclosure and your Unifying receiver is connected directly to the tower, it can adversely affect the strength of the wireless signal and connection. Try using a USB extender to relocate the Unifying receiver.
- Check the battery of your Logitech Bluetooth device. Battery power can adversely affect your device’s connectivity and overall functionality.
- Unifying receivers can store up to six products in memory. If you’ve recently connected a new product to your Unifying receiver, and another product stops working, it's likely that it was pushed out of the memory by connecting the new product.
- Unifying receivers can only take a total of 45 pairings (six active). If you’re having a problem connecting a new product to your Unifying receiver, you may have exceeded the number of pairings for that receiver.
