Symptom(s):

• Scroll wheel button moves but it doesn’t scroll on the page
• Certain gestures don't work or work intermittently
• Scroll or gestures behave differently than expected

Likely Cause(s):

• Potential hardware issue
• Operating system/software settings
• After installing and/or updating Logitech Options on macOS Mojave or later, macOS requires user permission to be set. Please follow these steps.

Possible solutions:

1. Clean the scroll wheel with compressed air.
2. Make sure the wheel itself moves and isn’t physically stuck.
3. Check if the Scroll/Gesture settings in the Logitech Software are correctly selected:
   • If you use Logitech Options click here.
   • If you use SetPoint click here.
   • If you use Logitech Control Center (LCC) click here.
4. Verify the product or receiver is connected directly to the computer and not to a hub, extender, switch or something similar.
5. Unpair/repair or disconnect/reconnect hardware.
6. Update firmware if available. 
   
   • If you use G HUB: Launch the software, select the device from the home screen then go to Settings. If a firmware update is available, a Blue "Update" button would appear under the firmware version on the top right corner of the screen.
7. Windows only — try a different USB port. If it makes a difference, try updating the motherboard USB chipset driver.
8. Try on a different computer. Windows only — if it works on a different computer, then the issue might be related to a USB chipset driver.

NOTE: If you have macOS Mojave 10.14 or later and the scroll wheel stopped working after installing and/or updating Logitech Options, please set the user permissions following these steps.
